D Resistor can be used as a teaching aid (in the teaching of resistors and in the teaching of the color sounds and color names across the localized languages), and as a tool to actually determine the resistance of a resistor.
When a slider is moved, the resistance and range values are updated and (if the Color Sound switch is on) the name of the selected color is announced in the localized language.
While a slider is being moved, the color of the slider, the color of the color patch (if the Color Patch option is on), and the text of the color name (if the Color Name option is on) are changed. If the fourth slider is the one being moved, then the color of the background of the range values is also changed to reflect the tolerance that is selected (gold, silver, or clear).
D Resistor displays a 4-band, color-coded resistor so that the user can set the color bands on the resistor. It then calculates and displays the resistance and the range of resistance.
